AROUND A few steps from the apartment, we can find the typical local restaurants, two supermarkets and bars, promenade, there is a bike path where you can go for walks or take regenerating walks in the nearby maritime pine forest along its small paths or go horse riding. A few km away there are: a riding stable, 9 and 18-hole golf courses, tennis and a small water park. On summer evenings the waterfront is closed to traffic, from 19.00 until 1.00 am so you can take a walk in the moonlight that you reflected in the sea. From the Arno river you can arrive by river, by boat, in Pisa or rent the large fishing nets kept by stilts. Nearby there are bus stops that take you to both Pisa and Livorno, and a taxi service that comes from Pisa. You can go with the bus to the famous Piazza dei Miracoli (Leaning Tower), visit the lungarni with the Blu palace where exhibitions are set up or visit the museums; with the train you can go to visit the nearby cities of art such as Florence, Lucca, Siena and Livorno where from its port yes they can reach the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. Near the accommodation there is the marina and every Sunday morning, on the seafront, the weekly market takes place where operators exhibit their products. At about 12 Km from Marina di Pisa we have the railway station and the international airport. Some evenings are characterized by Marenia, which is a collection of events of various kinds. During the winter the parking is free but in the summer period from June 1 to September 15 the Municipality has ordered the payment of 4 euros per day from 8.00 to 20.00 and on weekends also from 20.00 to 1.00. |
